This is a seasonal dark roast we are offering as we head into the cooler months. No, we did not name this offering after the worlds largest and most powerful shadow bank, even though this roast is sure to please even the most diabolical. Rather, this roast we named after a local landmark here in Watertown: Black Rock State Park. The name “Black Rock” is derived from when early settlers to the Naugatuck Valley were given rights to mine graphite lead by the resident Indians around 1657. The description has persisted through the years, as the contrasting darker-colored rock face remains evident.
